Women's Tennis Falls At UNCA, 6-1

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Elif Albayrak posted UNCW's only point of the day as the Seahawks fell on the road, 6-1, at UNCA on Sunday at the Grove Park Inn Indoor Courts.

The Seahawks moved to 1-1 on the young season with the loss while the Bulldogs improved to 2-3.

Playing at second singles, Albayrak earned a 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 win over UNCA's Isabella Moss.

In doubles, Alicia Eberwein and Sophia Catino topped Avery Sager and Maria Sol Alvarez, 6-4, but the Bulldogs earned the doubles point.

The Seahawks host Presbyterian in their home opener on Mar. 1 at noon.
