Men's Tennis Preview: Presbyterian

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The defending Coastal Athletic Champions open their home schedule on Friday with a 1 p.m. start against Presbyterian.

The Seahawks opened their season with a pair of losses to nationally-ranked Texas and Washington, both programs competed in the NCAA tournament with the Seahawks.

Against Texas, which was ranked fourth, Lukas Steffen and William Dean picked up a win at #2 doubles.

Oscar Baumgartner (1-0) earned a win at #4 singles with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Washington's Brett Pearson. Brad Husseyadded a win at the #5 singles, besting Hyeon Seok Seo, 6-4, 6-3.

Presbyterian, meanwhile, split its opening matches and stands at 2-2 following a pair of losses at nationally-ranked South Carolina (4-0) and at East Tennessee (4-0).

The Seahawks next host Coastal Carolina on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.
