UNCW Claims 65-54 Victory vs. Elon

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW senior Noah Ross collected 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists with no turnovers as the Seahawks claimed a 65-54 men's basketball victory over visiting Elon at a sold-out Trask Coliseum on Thursday night.

The Seahawks (21-4) become the first Coastal Athletic Association program to double-digit league wins with a 10-2 mark in the circuit. The Phoenix (13-13, 5-8 CAA) dropped their fourth straight contest.

Senior Christian May led all scorers with 15 points and was joined in double figures by Ross, Nolan Hodge (11) and Patrick Wessler (10).

Elon junior Isaac Harrell paced the visitors with 12 points.

UNCW only trailed for an early 16 seconds and built a double-digit lead, 28-18, with 5:15 in the first half on a Jahnathan Lamothe three-pointer and carried a 33-24 advantage at the intermission that featured a acrobatic performance by world-renowned unicyclist Red Panda.

The Seahawks kept it a double-digit game for almost the entirety of the second half and were up by as many as 18 points for their 12th home win of 2025-26.

UNCW continues its three-game homestand with a Homecoming contest against Hofstra. The Saturday afternoon contest will air at 4 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
