Women's Basketball Suffers Setback To Charleston

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The College of Charleston extended its winning streak on Friday with a 71-37 win over UNCW in women's college basketball action at Trask Coliseum.

The Cougars captured their eighth straight contest to improve to 15-3 overall and remain perfect in Coastal Athletic Association play at 7-0. The Seahawks saw their records fall to 5-13 and 1-6.

While Jami Hill led all scorers with 20 points for CofC, Taryn Barbot narrowly missed a triple double, finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Hill finished 7-for-8 from the field, including 6-of-7 from three-point range.

Rori Cox's 19 points led UNCW.

Due to inclement weather, Sunday's game at Campbell has been moved to Monday and will now be played at 3 p.m.
