WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia – William & Mary turned back UNCW with a 77-70 decision in Coastal Athletic Association men's basketball action on Thursday night at Kaplan Arena.

The Tribe upped their record to 13-6 (4-3 CAA) and remain unbeaten at home in eight games. The Seahawks (17-3, 6-1 CAA) snapped their seven-game win streak.

UNCW's Madison Durr delivered a team-high 15 points off the bench while Christian May contributed 13 points. A pair of Seahawks each contributed double-doubles: Nolan Hodge (10 points, 12 rebounds) and Patrick Wessler (15 points, 13 rebounds).

Tribe guard Kyle Pulliam paced the hosts with 16 points. Cade Haskins and Killian Brockhoff each contributed 15.

The Tribe rattled off an 18-1 run over a 4:28 stretch in the first half to build a game-high 30-8 lead and carried a 42-28 advantage into halftime.

The Seahawks came within six points on three different occasions in the second half and made it a four-point game, 71-67, with 1:45 to go, but Pulliam closed the game at the free-throw line to seal the win.

UNCW continues play on Saturday at Hampton at Noon. The game was moved from its original 2:30 p.m. time slot due to expected winter weather.
