Softball Concludes Weekend at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – UNCW's Cassidy Relay reached base a team-high three times and drove in one run in the Seahawks' 6-2 softball setback at Campbell on Sunday afternoon at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

The Camels improved to 15-7 and 3-0 in the league with five runs across the fourth and fifth innings. The Seahawks dipped to 14-9 and 0-3 in the CAA.

Relay recorded an RBI hit and worked two walks at the top of UNCW's lineup. UNCW's Allison Corbin plated the first run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

Campbell recorded 10 hits, including a combined seven from Charlie Montgomery, Tyra Parker and Cadan Brinkman to complete the sweep in the first CAA weekend of 2025.

The Camels' Katherine Serna (1-1) worked four innings of one-run ball in the win.

The Seahawks' Makayla Huddleston (7-4) allowed three earned runs across 4.1 innings of work.

UNCW remains on the road next weekend at Charleston from Mar. 14-16.
