Corbin Drives in Career-High Four Runs in Saturday Win

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW sophomore Allison Corbin drove in a career-high four runs in the Seahawks' Coastal Athletic Association 10-2 six-inning softball win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday afternoon at Boseman Field.

The Seahawks (17-12, 3-5 CAA) picked up their first CAA series win of 2025 and aim for the sweep in Sunday's series finale vs. the Aggies (7-22, 0-8 CAA).

Corbin's first career three-hit day highlighted the Seahawks offense that has earned a run-rule victory for the fourth time this season. The Stevensville, Md., native also scored a pair of runs, including the game-clinching run on Lauryn Richardson's sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.

Right-hander Taylor Barlow (4-3) tossed her third complete game of the season with a career-high seven strikeouts.

N.C. A&T's Aaliyah Williams (2-7) was charged for six runs, three earned, in 2.2 innings.

The Seahawks took advantage of three Aggie errors to score the same amount of runs in the first inning before doubling their lead, 6-0, in the third highlighted by a Morgan Britt triple.

Both teams added two runs in the fourth before Corbin and Richardson pushed the lead back to eight in the bottom of the sixth.
