RALEIGH, North Carolina –  UNCW's Allison Corbin launched her third home run of the season in the Seahawks' 9-3 neutral site softball setback against Michigan on Sunday morning at NC State's Dail Softball Stadium.
The Wolverines improved to 12-6 behind four home runs by Jenissa Conway, Ella Stephenson and two by Lauren Putz. The Seahawks dipped to 14-6.
Michigan's Lauren Derkowski earned the win while UNCW's Peyton Eckert (1-2) was charged with the loss.
The Wolverines led 5-0 after three innings and were up 6-0 entering the bottom of the fifth when Corbin's solo shot began a three-run frame for the Seahawks that included a Mackenzie Amodeo RBI triple and Addi Yates stealing home on a double-steal.
The Seahawks next open league play at Campbell in a rematch of last season's CAA Championship Game from Mar. 7-9.
