WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's basketball team closed the first half on an 18-2 run on its way to an 88-58 victory over Delaware in the Coastal Athletic Association regular-season finale on Saturday night at Trask Coliseum.

The Seahawks (24-7, 14-4 CAA) next turn their attention to the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Championship in Washington D.C., where they will be the No. 2 seed and play the winner of No. 7 Northeastern and No. 10 Hampton on Sunday, Mar. 9, at 6 p.m.

The Blue Hens (12-19, 5-13 CAA) will be the No. 12 seed and play No. 13 Stony Brook at 2 p.m. next Friday in the first game of the tournament.

Delaware's John Camden and Cavan Reilly combined for 30 points in the loss.

The contest featured 10 lead changes and three ties in the first 15 minutes of play before the Seahawks rattled off 14 unanswered points in part of their big 18-2 run to carry a 44-28 lead into halftime.
