Tysinger Honored As CAA Rookie of the Month

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW freshman Alex Tysinger was honored on Tuesday as Co-Rookie of the Month for November by the Coastal Athletic Association following a pair of stellar performances.

Tysinger competed in both of UNCW's meets for the month swimming in both the 50 and 100 Freestyles in each meet.

Against Queens and William & Mary, the freshman captured gold in the 100 with a time of 50.73 seconds and later finished second in the 50 Free, touching the wall in 23.56 seconds.

In the fall finale, the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy, Tysinger finished seventh in the 50 and fifth in the 100. Her times of 22.88 and 50.15, respectively, came in the prelims of the events.

This season Tysinger ranks third among CAA swimmers in the50 and 100 Free.
