SERIES INFO
UNCW vs. Southeastern Louisiana: First Meeting
This will be the first meeting between UNCW and Southeastern Louisiana.

UNCW vs. Navy: 6-11
UNCW and Navy meet for the first time since the pair were founding members of the ECAC South, which became the Colonial Athletic Association, from 1985-1991.

Led by Navy's David Robinson and UNCW's Brian Rowsom, the two schools formed one of the league's earliest premier rivalries, including a narrow 53-50 Navy win in the 1987 CAA Championship Game.

Fans in Wilmington will remember the Jan. 31, 1987, sellout in Trask in which Robinson's game-winner at the buzzer spoiled Rowsom's game-tying basket with seconds remaining.

Current UNCW Associate Head Coach Kurt Kanaskie held the same position at Navy during the 2011-12 season.

UNCW vs. Gardner-Webb: 0-1
Though the schools have met only once, a 2018 neutral site win for the Runnin' Bulldogs in Asheville, there is a ton of familiarity between the coaching staffs.

UNCW Head Coach Takayo Siddle played at GWU from 2005-09, helping his alma mater to an upset win at nationally ranked Kentucky as a junior before repeating the feat as UNCW's Head Coach in 2023. Siddle was hired as a Bulldogs assistant under Chris Holtmann in 2010 and spen four more years in Boiling Springs before joining Kevin Keatts in the Port City in 2014.

Current GWU Head Coach Jeremy Luther served as a Runnin' Bulldogs assistant coach under Tim Craft, along with Siddle and UNCW assistant Paul Hemrick during the 2013-14 campaign.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCW used a 13-3 run in the first half to build a double-digit lead to earn a Friday night 81-73 win over host Radford at the Dedmon Center.

Five players reached double-figures, led by Nolan Hodge's 18 points. The Seahawks shot 69.2 percent (18-of-26) after halftime to seal the win.

NEW AT TRASK
Several amenities and concession enhancements will welcome fans to Trask Coliseum as the UNCW men's and women's basketball programs open the 2025-26 season.

Improvements have been made with the fan experience in mind, highlighted by an upgraded lighting system and improved Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the coliseum. More concession speed lines will be available throughout the building to reduce wait times and get fans back to the gameday action.

In addition, several new concession options will be available this year, including select discounted concessions up to 30 minutes prior to tip-off, souvenir cup options, specialty items and a kids meal.

MEN'S HOOPS CELEBRATES 75 SEASONS
No one could have imagined the heights the UNCW men's basketball program has experienced when William J. "Bill" Brooks was hired as Wilmington College's first athletic director, basketball coach, baseball coach and chairman of the health and physical education department in September of 1951.

Now, as the program prepares for its 75th season since the hiring of Coach Brooks, reflections on memorable moments and milestones, highlighted by Tidal Rising, a historic men's basketball documentary series presented by Southeast Mortgage, will be celebrated throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

ON THE DOCKET
The Seahawks wrap up a four-game homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 3, vs. Marshall at 7 p.m. The date marks the anniversary of the coaching debut of William J. "Bill" Brooks in 1951.
