Volleyball Swept By Red-Hot Tribe

WILMINGTON, N.C. – In a vital Coastal Athletic Association volleyball match on Friday, William & Mary pushed its winning streak to three with a sweep (26-24, 25-21, 25-18) of UNCW at Hanover Hall.

The Tribe moved to 9-13 on the season, but more importantly, stayed in contention with a 4-7 conference mark for the final berth in the upcoming CAA Championship tournament in November. The Seahawks slid back to 3-18 and 2-9.

Led by Damisi Osibodu's seven total blocks, the Tribe took control of the match at the net by posting 13 blocks in the match.

Audrey Brcka and Nicole Smith finished with 13 and 12 kills, respectively, for the Tribe.

Lauren Young and Avery Markham both finished with seven kills for the Seahawks, who were limited to a .049 hitting average.

The Tribe and Seahawks meet again Saturday at 2 p.m.
