The Seahawks built their largest lead, 56-46, with 9:47 to go in the second half on an 11-0 run that included seven points from Newby.

The Camels, however, responded with nine unanswered points to make it a one-point game before UNCW responded again with nine of the game's next 11 points to push their lead back to eight, 65-57 with 4:48 left.
