Volleyball Swept by visiting Elon

WILMINGTON, N.C. –Sarah Thompson's 10 kills were a team-high, but UNCW fell in three sets to visiting Elon in Coastal Athletic Association volleyball action on Saturday at Hanover Hall.

The Phoenix ran their record to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Seahawks, meanwhile, fell to 3-7 and 0-3.

Quinn Manley's 10 digs were a team-best for the Seahawks.

Elon's Sydney Love held match-high honors with 11 kills while Clara LaRue added 10.

Kayla Palmer chipped in nine assists and a team-high 11 digs for the Phoenix.

The series concludes on Sunday with a 2 p.m. start.
