WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia – William & Mary's Tre Barrett's two-goal night helped the Tribe to a 4-0 decision over the UNCW men's soccer team on Saturday night at the Martin Family Stadium at the Albert-Daly Field.
The Tribe improved to 4-5 with a 2-1 Coastal Athletic Association mark. The Seahawks fell to 2-4-4 and 1-2 in the league.
Goals by Sam Delgado (12th minute) and Barrett (17th) provided William & Mary an advantage it maintained for the rest of the play. The Tribes' Evan Rabush and Aidan Morrison earned assists on each score.
William & Mary's Diogo Branco struck in another goal shortly following halftime with Rabush picking up his second assist of the night.
Barrett secured his brace with an unassisted goal in the 86th minute.
UNCW hosts Charleston next Saturday at 7 p.m. for its annual Alumni Game. The Seahawks will honor the 2009 CAA Championship team at halftime vs. the Cougars.
