"Tidal Town" Launches On Wednesday

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW Department of Athletics has launched its marketing theme "Tidal Town" for the 2024-25 year.

"We've had tremendous success and growth the last two years, winning 10 Coastal Athletic Association championships," said UNCW Director of Athletics Michael Oblinger. "We've been able to grow the department as a whole as well as continue to achieve excellence in the classroom and the community."

The "Tidal Town" marketing campaign for UNCW athletics is built on three key pillars: Culture of Excellence, Championship Tradition, and Destination location.

Over the past two years, UNCW has secured an impressive 10 CAA Championships, showcasing the strength and diversity of our athletic programs. This success reflects not only our commitment to continued excellence on the field and in the classroom but also highlights our recent accomplishments across multiple sports.

The campaign pays homage to our rich history of past successes, reinforcing our reputation as a powerhouse in the CAA and collegiate athletics. By celebrating our championship tradition and those who paved the way, we showcase the legacy of excellence that inspires current and future athletes.

UNCW's unique coastal setting enhances our athletic appeal. The campaign emphasizes how our team's achievements are complemented by Wilmington's stunning beaches and vibrant culture, making it an enticing destination for both fans and athletes.
