UNCW Heading Back To NCAA Tournament

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – UNCW cruised to its fourth consecutive Coastal Athletic Association men's tennis championship on Sunday with a 4-1 win over Elon at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.

UNCW advances to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season and owns a record of 17-5 and an 11-match winning streak. Elon fell to 16-8.

For UNCW and Head Coach Mait Dubois, it's the program's 10th conference title and appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Seahawks will learn their opponent and destination for the first round on Apr. 29 at 6 p.m.

The Seahawks swept the doubles point with Reece Falck and Harold Huens clinching the point with a 6-3 win on court one.

Elon tied the match at 1-all with a win on court six as Dylan Heap won, 6-3, 6-0.

Falck restored the Seahawk lead on court three with a straight-set 6-1, 6-3 victory.

Trey Mallory moved UNCW to match-point with a 6-3, 6-4 win at fifth singles.

On court one, Huens ended the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
