Seahawks Make Quick Work Of Red Flash

HILTON, HEAD, S.C. – UNCW closed out its spring break trip to Hilton Head with a convincing 6-1 win over Saint Francis on Thursday.

The Seahawks improved to 6-2 while the Red Flash dropped to 7-8.

UNCW got out to a quick 1-0 lead by sweeping the doubles point. Eda Arli and Elif Albayrak secured the point with a 6-2 win on court one.

In singles, Alex Borich lost just one set in a straight-set win on court six and Stela Joksimovic made it 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Reagan Mangin on court two.

Katelyn Hubbard clinched the match on court four with a 6-2, 6-3 win over SFU's Sara Jankovic.

The Seahawks return to the courts on March 14 when they host William & Mary in a rematch of the 2023 Coastal Athletic Association championship, which the Tribe won and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
