Men's Tennis Blanks Cougars in CAA Opener

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – UNCW made quick work of fellow Coastal Athletic Association rival College of Charleston on Monday with a 7-0 win at Patriots Point.

The Seahawks improved to 5-4 on the season after winning their conference opener. The Cougars, meanwhile, dropped to 5-4 with the home loss.

 Gabe Hurtado and Trey Mallory sealed the doubles point with a 7-5 win on court two for the early 1-0 lead.

Jordi Domenech and Hurtado made it 3-0 Seahawks with wins on court six and four, respectively.

Reece Falck clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court three.

The Seahawks next host Wichita State at 2 p.m. on Mar. 12
