Men's Tennis Eases Past #71 William & Mary, 4-0

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW rolled to a 4-0 win over nationally-ranked and Coastal Athletic Association rival William & Mary on Sunday at the UNCW Tennis Complex.

The Seahawks pushed their record to 7-5 with the home win while the 71st-ranked Tribe dipped to 9-7.

Gabe Hurtado and Trey Mallory edged W&M's Alexandre Leblanc and Nikita Bortnichek, 6-4, to earn the doubles point.

UNCW carried that momentum into singles with Reece Falck giving the Seahawks a 2-0 lead with a win at third singles.

Harold Huens and Hurtado ended the match with wins at number one and four singles, respectively.

The Seahawks continue their homestand on Mar. 22 against UT Arlington with a 2 p.m. start.
