UNCW Swept By Visiting Cougars

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Alexa Brezeault and Grace Melnick combined for 19 kills, but UNCW was swept by conference leader College of Charleston on Sunday in volleyball action at Hanover Hall.

The Cougars pushed their record to 21-8 on the season and 13-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Seahawks, meanwhile, fell to 7-16 and 4-12 in the league.

Brezeault paced the Seahawks with 10 kills while Melnick added nine.

Emily Baitt led the Cougars with 14 kills and Caitlyn Callahan chipped in 12 kills and three blocks.

UNCW's Quinn Manley held match-high honors with 11 digs.

The Seahawks visit North Carolina A&T on Nov. 15-16 to close out the regular season.
