Magazine Continues Strong Play With 12 Kills

NEWARK, Del. – UNCW pushed defending Coastal Athletic Association champion Delaware on Saturday before falling to the Blue Hens in three sets at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The Blue Hens improved to 8-4 overall and 4-1 in the league. The Seahawks, meanwhile, dropped to 3-9 and 0-5 in the conference.

The Seahawks were edged in the first set 25-22 before extending UD in the second set, losing 26-24. The Blue Hens closed out the win with a 25-19 win in the third set.

UNCW's A'siya Magazine tied her season-high previously set against Northeastern earlier this season and matched UD's Gha'Naye Whitfield-Moss for match-high honors with 12 kills.

Quinn Manley held match-high honors for UNCW with 17 digs as the Seahawks finished with a 69-59 advantage in digs.

Lily Rogers doled out a match-high 34 assists for UD.

The series concludes on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start.
