UNCW and Fox Wilmington Announce Local TV Partnership

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW Athletics Department and Fox Wilmington TV have announced a partnership to air seven UNCW men's basketball home games along with The Seahawk Basketball Show featuring Takayo Siddle on local television during the 2024-25 season as part of enhanced coverage of the Seahawks.

The agreement brings UNCW's televised games total to 11 games along with four previously announced national television appearances on CBS Sports Network via the Coastal Athletic Association. The longstanding coaches show returns to linear television for the first time in five years on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

UNCW will make its Fox Wilmington TV debut on Nov. 29 when it hosts Sam Houston during the Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic. The Seahawks return the following day to play Appalachian State, also on local Fox television.

Other games on the Fox slate include Marshall (Dec. 7 – 2 p.m.), UNC Asheville (Dec. 21 – 2 p.m.), Spartanburg Methodist (Dec. 28 – 2 p.m.) as well as the CAA opener vs. Towson (Jan. 2 – 7 p.m.) and a Thursday conference contest against Northeastern (Jan. 16 – 7 p.m.).

All Fox Wilmington TV broadcasts will also stream on FloCollege as will all non-CBS Sports Network UNCW home games and most CAA road contests.

Fans can listen to live radio coverage of UNCW men's and women's basketball on 95.9 FM The Breeze again this season as well as on the Sunrise Radio App available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The UNCW-FOX partnership is a joint effort by entities to strengthen community ties and bring Seahawk basketball directly to Seahawk Nation. It is the latest step forward for UNCW's Men's Basketball coverage for the 2024-25 regular season.

TALKIN' TO TAKAYO
Talkin' to Takayo, a one-hour, fan-friendly session featuring fifth-year UNCW men's basketball Head Coach Takayo Siddle, kicks off on Monday, Nov. 11, at Buffalo Wild Wings on Old Eastwood Road.

Monday marks the first of 14 in-season shows scheduled to take place from Noon to 1 p.m. at the popular restaurant. Fans are welcome to attend, enjoy lunch and listen to Coach Siddle discuss current basketball topics, previous games and future opponents.

Siddle and host Mike Vaccaro will broadcast from the patio area. The show will also be streamed live on the UNCW Athletics Facebook page and aired each Monday at 7 p.m. on 95.9 FM The Breeze on the following dates:
