Women's Soccer Fashions Third Straight Shutout

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's soccer team recorded its third straight shutout in Sunday's Coastal Athletic Association scoreless draw vs. Towson at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Seahawks (4-6-5, 2-2-3 CAA) and the Tigers (4-4-8, 2-2-3 CAA) each picked up one point in the CAA standings.

UNCW goalkeeper Morgan Hobbs fashioned her third solo shutout with five saves while Towson netminder Riley Mendoza collected her fifth clean sheet with seven rejections.

The Seahawks ran their unbeaten streak to five games with seven shots in each half. The UNCW defense limited the Tigers to two shots in the second half and 10 overall.

A northern road swing is up next for the Seahawks with games scheduled at Monmouth (Thursday) and at Stony Brook (Sunday).
