Late Three Downs Seahawks At Towson

TOWSON, Md. – Tyler Tejada's three-pointer from the right corner in the waning seconds of the game lifted Towson to a 67-64 lead over visiting UNCW in Coastal Athletic Association men's basketball action on Saturday at the TU Arena.

The Tigers, who remained perfect at home this season with a 6-0 mark, improved to 1-1 in the league and 8-7 overall. The Seahawks, meanwhile, fell to 0-2 in the conference and 9-5 with the road loss.

A layup from Trazarien White with 45 seconds left tied the game for UNCW, but Towson was able to get the win. Tejada's game-winner came with 0.4 seconds left.

White finished with a game and career-high 33 points on 13-of-22 shooting from the field and going 7-for-9 from the foul line. KJ Jenkins added 13 points off the bench.

Nendah Tarke's 15 points led four Tigers in double figures.

The Seahawks, who last played at home game on Dec. 10, return to Trask Coliseum next week when they host Monmouth at 7 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Despite 19 points from White, the Seahawks trailed at the intermission, 35-33. A short jumper in the paint from Christian May with the clock expiring gave the Tigers the lead.
