Winning Streak Snapped At Stony Brook

STONY BROOK N.Y. – Trazarien White's 26 points led UNCW on Saturday in a 86-78 overtime loss at Stony Brook in Coastal Athletic Association men's basketball action at Island Federal Credit Arena.

The Seahawks, who saw their winning streak snapped at five, fell to 14-6 with the road loss and 5-3 in the conference. SBU, meanwhile, improved to 11-10 with the win and 4-4 in the CAA.

Tyler Stephenson-Moore paced the Seawolves in the win with 22 points while Aaron Clarke added 21. Keenan Fitzmorris chipped in 14 points.

KJ Jenkins knocked down five three-pointers and finished with 19 points for the Seahawks.

Stony Brook grabbed a 39-37 lead at the half after shooting 57 percent from the floor and limiting UNCW to 37 percent shooting of its own.

The Seahawks visit rival College of Charleston on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. when they next take the court.
