Seahawks Fall At North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Mac Horvath homered twice and drove in eight runs as 25th-ranked North Carolina built a 9-1 lead through three innings and never looked back in an 18-2 win over UNCW on Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium.

The Tar Heels upped their record to 26-15 with their sixth consecutive win against the Seahawks. UNCW fell to 24-15 with the road loss.

Jackson Van De Brake added three hits, including a pair of doubles, and three RBI's. Antonio Osuna homered and collected three RBI's.

Dalton Pence (3-1) was credited with the win.

UNCW starter Ty Lawson (1-1) didn't get out of the first inning and took the loss. He allowed four runs on a pair of walks, a double and a home run.

Alec DeMartino hits his sixth homer of the season in the fourth inning.

The Seahawks visit Hofstra for a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series that opens Friday at 2 p.m.
