No. 63 FAU Shuts Out UNCW In Florida

BOCA RATON, Fla.  – No. 63 FAU blanked visiting UNCW, 4-0, early Wednesday in the first leg of a two-match men's tennis spring break road trip for the Seahawks to the Sunshine State.
 
The Owls of the American Athletic Conference won the doubles point and then swept the first three singles matches off the court to top the Seahawks. UNCW suffered its second shutout of the season and stands 4-4 this spring. FAU owns an 8-8 mark.
 
The Seahawks are back in action on Saturday, Mar. 11, when they take on South Florida in Tampa in an 11 a.m. match at the USF Varsity Tennis Complex.
 
UNCW returns home on Wednesday, Mar. 15, at 2 p.m. to entertain Illinois State in the first match of the Battle at the Beach. The Seahawks and Redbirds will be joined by Youngstown State and DePaul in the five-day tournament at the UNCW Courts.
