Bulls Edge Seahawks In Men's Tennis, 4-3

TAMPA, Florida – Junior Gabe Hurtado, sophomore Harold Huens and senior Davide Innocenti recorded singles victories, but South Florida trimmed UNCW, 4-3, on Saturday as the Seahawks wrapped up their break road trip at USF's Varsity Tennis Courts.
 
The Seahawks, 4-5, dropped matches at Florida Atlantic and USF on the two-match swing to the Sunshine State. The Bulls are now 7-10 on the season.
 
Huens topped USF junior Erik Grevelius at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2, while Hurtado defeated USF's Elijah Cham, 6-4, 7-6 (4), at No. 5 singles. UNCW's Davide Innocenti added a three-set victory over USF's Tom Pisane, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 6 position,
 
UNCW returns home on Wednesday, Mar. 15, at 2 p.m. to entertain Illinois State in the first match of the Battle at the Beach. The Seahawks and Redbirds will be joined by Youngstown State and DePaul in the five-day tournament at the UNCW Courts.
