North Carolina A&T Turns Back UNCW, 72-44

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – North Carolina A&T's Jordyn Dorsey and Jazmin Harris combined for 40 points to push the Aggies past UNCW 72-44 in women's basketball action on Sunday afternoon at the Corbett Center.

The Aggies improved to 17-10 and 11-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association with the season sweep of the Seahawks (5-22, 2-14 CAA).

Junior guard Britany Range paced UNCW with a career-high 13 points with three of her four made field goals coming from three-point range.

Dorsey (21) and Harris (19) were joined in double figures scoring by N.C. A&T's D'Mya Tucker's 11 markers.

The Aggies outscored the Seahawks 57-26 after the first quarter, including a 22-2 advantage in the final period, to cruise to the 28-point victory.

After N.C. A&T scored the game's first seven points, UNCW closed the final 8:20 of the first period on an 18-8 run to carry an 18-15 lead into the second quarter before the Aggies took control.

UNCW will play its road finale in the penultimate regular season game at Elon on Thursday at 7 p.m.
