Men's Basketball Falls At ECU, 74-66

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Bobby Pettiford scored a game-high 24 points as East Carolina rallied from a halftime deficit by shooting 60.9% in the second half for a 74-66 win on Thursday at Minges Coliseum.

The Pirates improved to 5-3 with the home win while the Seahawks took their first road loss of the season and fell to 5-2.

Trailing by seven at the intermission, ECU grabbed its first lead of the second half, xx-xx, on a three-pointer by RJ Felton with 11:56 remaining.

Shykeim Phillips led UNCW with 20 points while Trazarien White added 14.

UNCW built a 36-29 lead at the half behind 13 points from Phillips and 10 from White.

The Seahawks conclude their five-game road stretch with a 4 p.m. start at Kentucky. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
