Women's Soccer Drops 2-0 Decision at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Drexel turned back the UNCW women's soccer team, 2-0, in both team's penultimate match of the 2023 regular season on Thursday night at Vidas Field.

The Dragons moved to 6-8-3, including a 2-6-3 mark in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Seahawks stand 5-9-2 with a 4-5-2 league record.

Drexel outshot UNCW by a 14-5 margin. The teams also combined for 19 corner kicks.

The Dragons raced out to an early 1-0 lead on Casey Touey's fifth goal of the season. The junior forward was assisted by Delaney Lappin.

A UNCW own goal made it 2-0 with 14 minutes left in the game.

Graduate goalkeeper Hanna Wise collected eight saves, including seven in a busy second half.

The Seahawks close out the regular season at Delaware on Sunday at Noon. UNCW can secure the sixth and final spot in the CAA Championships with a win.
