Seahawks Battle To Scoreless Draw

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina – The UNCW men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a scoreless draw at North Carolina on Tuesday night at Dorrance Field.

The Seahawks moved to 3-1-3 overall with their third straight shutout. The Tar Heels stand at 3-2-2 this year with their second consecutive tie.

UNCW goalkeeper Gabriel Perrotta recorded his fourth clean sheet of the season with five saves. The Asuncion, Paraguay, product has totaled five or more saves in four games this year.

The Seahawks' defense held the Tar Heels, who tallied 18 shots, to their second shutout of the season.

The draw snapped an eight-game stretch in the UNCW-UNC series in which the home team won the game.

UNCW continues Colonial Athletic Association play at Delaware on Saturday at 1 p.m.
