Seahawks Edge Dragons, 2-0

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A pair of second-half goals by UNCW's Omar Aboutaleb and Adam Hillis propelled the Seahawks to a 2-0 win over Drexel in Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer play on Saturday night at UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Seahawks, 3-1-2 (2-0-1 CAA), posted their third win in four games to earn an important three points in the conference standings. The Dragons, 2-2-3 (1-1-1 CAA), will look to rebound at home vs. Columbia next Tuesday.

UNCW and Drexel played to a scoreless draw through 52 minutes until Aboutaleb drilled his second goal of the season on a pass from senior forward Cannon Tootle to put the Seahawks ahead, 1-0.

Hillis added an insurance goal 11 minutes later on a corner that was placed inside of the goal area by junior midfielder Pep Casas.

Senior goalkeeper Gabriel Perrotta authored his third solo shutout of the season along with a season-high seven saves, including a key block in the 15th minute to keep the game scoreless off a shot by Drexel's Joshua Pulla.
