Seahawks Close Out Play At Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – The UNCW women's golf team concluded their fourth spring tournament at the Clemson Invitational contested at The Reserve at Lake Keowee on Sunday.

Louisiana State used a 292-team score in the final round to jump three spots and claim the team title at the tournament. The Tigers' Ingrid Lindblad captured the individual crown with a 4-under-par 212 tournament score in the three-day event.

UNCW junior Mallory Fobes finished in a four-way tie for 24th place with a 5-over-par 77 score in the third round. The East Bend, N.C., native paced the Seahawks with seven birdies across 54 holes.

The Seahawks are next in action at the ECU Ironwood Invitational on Apr. 4-5, 2022, in Greenville, N.C. The two-day tournament is the final tune-up of the spring before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships begin on Apr. 15.
