GREENSBORO, Ga. – UNCW improved its team score by ten strokes on the second day of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at the Great Waters Golf Course on Saturday.
The Seahawks sit in tenth place at Lake Oconee with a 303-team score in the second round. North Florida used a 294-team score to leap ahead of Delaware and East Tennessee St. on the tournament's second day.
"I am pleased with how we bounced back after a tough first round," said UNCW Head Coach Cindy Ho. "Great Waters is a demanding second shot course and we did a good job leaving our approach shots in better scoring position."
Senior Phu Khine and junior Mallory Fobes are locked in a tie for 14th place, each with a 150 score through 36 holes to lead the Seahawks.
The Lake Oconee Invitational concludes on Sunday, Feb. 20, with a 10 a.m. silent shotgun start.
