Men's Soccer Spring Schedule Set

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW head men's soccer coach Aidan Heaney has announced a five-match spring schedule for his Seahawks that includes three home matches, including the annual Harry's Game against High Point in early April.

"We are very much looking forward to playing some competitive games this spring," said Heaney. "With new additions to the squad and returners looking to establish more prominent roles on the team, the schedule will allow our guy's ample opportunity to do that."

Harry's Game, the pinnacle of the spring season, will be on Apr. 9 against visiting High Point, which advanced to the finals of the Big South Conference tournament. The Panthers are directed by former Seahawk assistant Zach Haines, who completed his third season with the HPU program last fall.

"Harry's Game will be the perfect way to finish the spring season. It's a wonderful event to promote awareness and acceptance of people with intellectual and physical disabilities and is always well supported by our community."

The game is an annual exhibition between the Seahawks and some of the top programs in the state of North Carolina, including North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke and Charlotte. The game serves as a benefit for children with special needs.

UNCW visits North Carolina FC, which enters its second season in the USL League One, on Feb. 26 at the Wake Med Soccer Park.

The Seahawks have a short turnaround as they host Mount Olive on Mar. 3 and later that month, they'll visit Wingate on Mar. 22.

Coastal Carolina visits the UNCW Soccer Stadium on Apr. 1.
