Volleyball Drops Two At Chanticleer Classic

CONWAY, S.C. – UNCW dropped both matches on Saturday at the Chanticleer Classic, losing in four sets to Radford and in three to host Coastal Carolina.

The Seahawks slid to 1-7 on the season with the two losses.

Against Radford, Brianna Haggerty paced the Seahawks with 14 kills and hit an even .400 on the match. Katie Lanz added 11 kills and Annabell Schall finished with a season-high 27 assists.

Against the Chanticleers, Lanz had eight kills.

The Seahawks closeout their non-conference schedule next weekend when they host the UNCW Hampton Inn & Suites Landfall Classic. The tournament opens on Friday at 3 p.m. with UNCG and Campbell taking the court followed by the Seahawks and Jacksonville at 6 p.m.
