Pirates Top Volleyhawks

CONWAY, S.C. – UNCW suffered a sweep at the hands of East Carolina on Friday at the Chanticleer Classic at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina.

The Pirates improved to 2-4 on the season, having swept Radford earlier on Friday. UNCW, meanwhile, dropped to 1-5.

Brianna Haggerty and Katie Lanz had eight kills apiece for the Seahawks.

ECU's Sydney Kleinman held match-high honors with 12 kills and recorded six of the Pirates' 10 aces on the afternoon.

The Seahawks play twice on Saturday with Radford at 2 p.m. and host Coastal Carolina at 6 p.m. The Coastal Carolina match will be streamed on ESPN+.
