UNCW Swept In Season Opener

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Led by Peyton Suess and Kamryn Malloy, who combined for 23 kills, Wake Forest hit .513 in a season-opening win over UNCW on Friday at Hanover Hall.

Kirsten Badowski led UNCW with six kills while Brooke Hanshumaker added four.

Andrea Fuentes held match-high honors with 41 assists and chipped in four kills.

The Demon Deacons committed three hitting errors in the first two sets combined.

The Seahawks host North Alabama and Furman at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively, on Saturday.
