Volleyhawks Fall Short In Four At Elon

ELON, N.C. – Three Seahawks had 11 kills apiece to lead a balanced offense, but Elon finished off a sweep of UNCW in Colonial Athletic Association volleyball action with a 3-1 win on Sunday at the Schar Center.

The Phoenix ran their record to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the league while the Seahawks slid to 0-7 and 0-4.

Brooke Hanshumaker, Katie Lanz and Kyla Augustine each had 11 kills while Brynn Montgomery fashioned a double-double with 25 assists and 11 digs.

Haylie Clark and Gabi Croll matched the Seahawk three for match-high honors with 11 kills. Clark had a double-double with 21 assists and narrowly missed a triple-double, finishing with eight digs.

UNCW hosts the College of Charleston on March 13 at 5 p.m.
