Augustine, Pilcher Join SAAC Summit

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW student-athletes Kyla Augustine and Grace Pilcher will participate in this week's Colonial Athletic Association Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Leadership Summit.
 
Twenty-six CAA student-athletes from the league's 10 member institutions are scheduled for the Zoom conference call, including NCAA Division I SAAC representative Alicia Cooperman of James Madison. CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio, CAA Deputy Commissioner Jennifer Condaras, CAA Director of Compliance & Student-Athlete Services Donna Parker, and CAA Assistant Commissioner of Digital Engagement and Social Promotion Jamie Greer will also take part.
 
The day will feature a joint discussion with the CAA's Faculty Athletic Representatives, an annual business meeting and an opportunity for the student-athletes to take part in the production of two upcoming CAA public service announcements on voting and Black Lives Matter.
 
Augustine, a senior volleyball standout from St. Charles, Ill., has played in 42 matches for the Seahawks over the last three seasons and is majoring in Biology. Pilcher, from Charlotte, N.C., competes for the women's soccer team and is studying Spanish.
