Carol-Anne Obusek made 8 of 12 shots from the floor and scored a career-high 19 points, but it was not enough as James Madison collected a 76-52 Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball victory over UNCW at the JMU Convocation Center on Sunday afternoon.

The victory vaulted the Dukes' record to 19-4 overall and 10-2 in the CAA. UNCW, meanwhile, fell to 6-18 overall and 3-10 in the circuit after suffering its fifth consecutive loss.

One of two UNCW players to score in double figures, Obusek also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for the Seahawks. Senior guard
Lacey Suggs contributed 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field along with five rebounds.

Freshman guard Kiki Jefferson anchored three James Madison players in double figures by matching her season high with 21 points. The Lancaster, Pa., product made six of eight field goal attempts and was 7-for-9 at the free throw line while adding nine rebounds.

Senior guard Kamiah Smalls chipped in 16 points with six rebounds and four assists while redshirt senior forward Jackie Benitez scored 12 points with four steals.

Key Moment: James Madison pulled away from the Seahawks in the second quarter with a 15-6 spurt, giving the Dukes a 34-19 lead at the intermission. Smalls tallied nine of her points in the period to lead the Dukes, who held the Seahawks without a field goal for the final nine minutes of the half.

- Sunday's game marked the Seahawks' final visit to the JMU Convocation Center as the Dukes will move into the Atlantic Union Bank Center next season.
- James Madison improved to 66-10 all-time in the series against the Seahawks, including a 34-3 mark inside the Convocation Center … The Dukes have won 12 straight meetings against UNCW on their home court.
- Obusek recorded her seventh double-digit scoring output of the season, including her fourth against league opponents … She also led the Seahawks in scoring for the second time this year.
- Suggs, who has scored in double figures in five of her last seven games, moved into 18th place on the Seahawks' all-time scoring list with 970 career points … The White Lake, N.C., native needs 30 points to become the 17th player in program history with 1,000 career points.
- Senior guard Ahyiona Vason had her streak of six consecutive double-digit scoring efforts snapped after being held to just seven points … The Montgomery, Ala., product contributed four rebounds, two assists and two steals while playing 31 minutes.
- The Seahawks hit 12-of-23 field goal attempts in the second half after shooting just 7-for-28 in the opening 20 minutes.
- James Madison outrebounded the Seahawks by a 47-26 margin and tallied 24 offensive rebounds. Â
