Cougars Hand Seahawks 6-1 Setback

CHARLESTON, South Carolina – The College of Charleston won the doubles point and then added five singles victories to cruise past UNCW, 6-1, in the Colonial Athletic Association women's tennis debut for both teams early Friday at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
 
The Seahawks, kicking off a three-match road swing, had their four-game winning streak snapped and stand 4-3 on the season. The Cougars evened their record at 3-3 this spring.
 
Sophomore Rishika Ravindran picked up UNCW's lone point on the day with a 7-6 (4), 6-4 triumph over Charleston's Clara Errard at No. 3 singles.
 
The Seahawks move across the Holy City to battle Charleston Southern tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 23) at 1 p.m.
