HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Unable to hold on to a 2-1 lead through three sets, UNCW dropped its fourth consecutive five-set decision as Hofstra edged the Seahawks (16-25, 25-13, 17-25, 26-24, 19-17) on Sunday at the Mack Physical Education Center.

The Pride upped its record to 11-7 overall and 4-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Seahawks, meanwhile, fell to 11-8 and 1-5 in the league. After opening with a 4-0 mark in five set matches, the Seahawks have now dropped their last four.
