UNCW Falls In Four At Towson

TOWSON, Md. – Conference-leading Towson proved to be too much for UNCW as the Tigers rolled past the Seahawks in four sets (25-15, 25-11,20-25, 25-16) on Friday at SECU Arena.

The Tigers stayed perfect in the Colonial Athletic Association at 7-0 and improved to 17-2 overall. The Seahawks dropped their third straight outing to tumble to 11-9 overall and 1-6 in the CAA.

Led by Lydia Wiers' 14 kills, Towson placed five players in double-digit kills and hit a staggering .441 on the evening. The Tigers committed just 14 hitting errors.

Senior Madison Peters led UNCW with 12 kills and junior Anna Weissmann collected a match-high 17 digs.

UNCW visits the College of Charleston on Oct. 22 for a 7 p.m. start
