WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Senior Mariah Kondravy blasted a solo home run with one out in the seventh inning to propel Delaware to a 4-3 victory over UNCW in the Colonial Athletic Association series finale at Boseman Field on Sunday afternoon.
The win elevated the Blue Hens' record to 13-31 overall and 5-13 in the CAA. UNCW, meanwhile, stands at 16-27 overall with a 6-12 mark against league foes after losing for the fifth time in the last six games.
Kondravy, who finished the game with a 2-for-4 effort, drove in the game-deciding run with one out in the seventh inning when she hit her seventh home run of the season.
Delaware took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning as junior Anna Steinmetz hit a two-run double before freshman Chayanna Gallardo added an RBI double.

Kali Jones led off the frame with a single and three-base error. Sophomore
Dominique Travers evened the score at 3-3 in the sixth inning when she sent her team-high fifth home run to left center.
Kondravy, Steinmetz and sophomore Julia Solderitch each tallied two hits to lead the Blue Hens' eight-hit attack. Senior Jordan Cargile earned her second win of the weekend in the circle after allowing two earned runs on five hits in a complete-game effort.

Meghan Whitecavage went 3-for-3 for the Seahawks while Travers and Jones each contributed a hit. Junior
Haley Lenderman took the loss in relief after allowing a run on two hits over 4.0 innings with a season-high seven strikeouts.
Inside the Box Score: Delaware and UNCW combined to leave nine runners on base … Each team saw its leadoff hitter reach base twice … The Blue Hens were 4-for-10 in two-out situations while UNCW failed to get a hit in its seven chances with two outs.
Notes: Whitecavage posted her second multi-hit game of the season … Travers has hit safely in three straight games … UNCW is now 6-8 in games decided by one run this season.
