WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Led by four hits from sophomore
Dominique Travers and a pair of outstanding pitching efforts, UNCW's hopes of earning a Colonial Athletic Association Tournament berth remained alive after the Seahawks swept a doubleheader against the College of Charleston at Boseman Field on Friday evening.

The Seahawks, who saw their record move to 18-27 overall and 8-12 in the CAA, rallied to claim a 2-1 victory in eight innings in the opener before blanking the Cougars, 2-0, in the nightcap. College of Charleston stands at 29-24 on the season with an identical 8-12 mark against league foes.

Travers, who went 4-for-6 in the twin bill, fashioned a three-hit effort in the opener before going 1-for-3 with a run scored in the nightcap.

Kelsey Bryan – each added two hits in the sweep.

Sarah Davis and junior
Haley Lenderman combined to allow just one earned run on 11 hits en route to a pair of complete game efforts. Davis upped her record to 5-7 on the season after scattering six hits over 8.0 innings with six strikeouts. Lenderman, meanwhile, earned her fifth win of the year after giving up five hits with five strikeouts.

Sophomore Yari Felix paced Charleston with three hits, including a 2-for-4 showing in the opener, while three other players added a pair of hits.
