TOWSON, Maryland – Towson completed a sweep of a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series against UNCW by blanking the Seahawks, 1-0, in the series finale at the Tiger Softball Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers, who won their seventh straight game, improved to 36-11 overall and 11-4 in the CAA. UNCW, meanwhile, stands at 15-25 overall with a 5-10 mark in the league standings.
Sophomore first baseman Madison Wilson drove in the game's only run with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Senior Megan Dejter earned the complete-game victory in the circle for the Tigers, allowing just one hit while setting a season high with eight strikeouts.
