WALLACE, North Carolina – Campbell posted its third consecutive under-par round by firing a 285 team score as the Fighting Camels claimed the 2018 River Landing Classic title following the final round at River Landing Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.

The Camels, who won the tournament for the first time in eight all-time appearances, finished with an 11-shot lead (286-286-285=857) over East Carolina, which finished at 4-over-par. Memphis, which held the lead after the first round, finished in third place after compiling an 871 team score.
Emily Mills of Rutgers claimed the individual medalist honor after finishing the tournament at 4-under-par, including an impressive 5-under-par final round. Mills was one of seven players to complete the event with an under-par score.
UNCW, the tournament host, finished in eighth place among the 14-team field. Sophomore
Thao My Nguyen paced the Seahawks by earning a share of 10th place with a 1-over-par tournament score (74-72-71=217) while freshman
Caroline Cahill followed in a tie for 12th place (73-74-73=220).
